Competition for February

I haven't blogged for ages, so thought I'd try and get going again with some Fasching-related fun.

The question for February is:

What date is Rosenmontag (Rose Monday) this year?

Answer: It was February 15th. Dan in 10O/Je1 wins this month!

On this day during the Kaneval period  there are parades, parties and lots of dressing up in the streets of Germany.

Put your answer on a piece of paper with your name and German class on it in the blue postbox in room 8.

Ein neuer Anfang!

Welcome back everyone! A new term and a new name for me :)
As you can see I have changed the blog over the summer ever so slightly. The main change is the new website address, as I thought the old one might be a little confusing (for me and the new year 7s!). I have kept the widgets, links and all the old posts. You can access old posts by clicking on the archive at the side.
I hope you continue to enjoy the blog and keep contributing to it. Have a great year- viel Spaß!

Ein gutes Jahr!

I would like to say a big well done to all my classes this year. I have been really pleased with the effort you have put into your lessons and I hope that you have enjoyed learning German this year.

Year 9
Even if you are not carrying on with a language next year, you have learnt lots of useful language and some great life skills. Don't forget that these skills will come in handy if you decide to take up another language later on- maybe at Sixth Form. I wish you all the best for your future studies. Of course, I will still be teaching some of you next year if you have opted for German. Don't forget to check out the KS4 blog- Spitze!

Have a good summer and come back relaxed and ready to learn!
In September there will be more blog competitions, games, info and even a new blog name!

Bis bald!
